2018 Annual General Meeting and Committee Nominations

AGM Notice Notice is given of the Annual General Meeting of the Finnish Lapphund Club of NSW Inc. to be held on Sunday 26th August 2018 at the Bill Spilstead Complex for Canine Affairs, 44 Luddenham Rd, Orchard Hills. It will be held in a gazebo near the herding area, starting at 12pm.

Why not try out herding before the AGM starts? The Australian Stockdog Club holds herding training from 9am. This is a practical training session with sheep. The Australian Stockdog Club is independent of the FLCNSW. To train, an annual membership fee is required, plus a training fee. The membership fees are: $20 to join + $30 Single or $40 Dual / Family Membership annual membership fee + $5 training fee for each session attended.

Nominations for the 2017-2018 committee Nominations are open for the 2017-2018 committee. Positions include:

  • President

  • Vice President

  • Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Show Secretary

  • Breed Liaison Officer

  • Activities and Events Coordinator

  • Publicity Officer

  • Webmaster

  • Health Officer

Here are the position descriptions for each position. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the secretary.

Please note the following:

  • A maximum of two positions can be held by one person (excluding president and vice president). A member other than the nominee needs to support each nomination. Please note the member supporting your nomination on the form. The secretary will contact each member to confirm.

  • The committee term is from 26 August 2018, until the 2019 AGM (a 12 month period).

  • Closing date for nominations is 31st July 2018.

Postal Voting If you cannot attend the meeting and wish to register for postal voting, please send your signed request in writing to the secretary, and include an envelope with your address and stamp by 31st July 2018. Please also email the secretary to advise this has been sent, just in case of any issues with Australia Post.

A list of nominations will be sent to postal voting members at least two (2) weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting.
